Somatic Movement: Re-Educating Your Body

Most exercise is about how your body looks from the outside. Somatics is about how your body feels from the inside.

 

When we live in chronic stress, our brains actually forget how to relax certain muscles. This is called sensory-motor amnesia, it’s why your shoulders stay up by your ears even when you’re trying to sleep and why your back feels tight even when you aren't doing anything.

  • Slow, Conscious Reset: Through deliberate, gentle movements, we remind your brain how to let go of the armour it’s been wearing.

  • Unlearning the Habit of Tension: We aren't adding more to your to-do list. We are unlearning the physical habit of holding it all together so that calm becomes your default setting, not something you have to chase.
